Sammy Cahn was nominated for more than 30 Oscars, and won four times. His songs were recorded by virtually every major singer. And he wrote some of the best known of all popular songs: 'I've Heard That Song Before', 'I'll Walk Alone', 'Time After Time', 'Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow', 'Love And Marriage', 'All The Way', 'Come Fly With Me', 'High Hopes', 'My Kind Of Town', etc.  (He was also the father of fusion great, guitarist Steve Kahn.)
