Jean-Luc Ponty
Originally a blue-ribbon classical musician in Paris, Jean-Luc Ponty crossed over into the jazz scene by the early 1960s and soon became the world's premier fusion violinist. Since that time, his relentless touring and prolific recording careers have shown him to be an artist of awe-inspiring stamina and resilience. Collaborations with George Duke, Frank Zappa, Chick Corea, John McLaughlin, Miroslav Vitous, Allan Holdsworth, Regina Carter, Jon Anderson and many others have proven that he is a "musician without borders", completely at home with the world's finest musicians.
