A native of Tennessee, Koko Taylor was often called "Queen of the Blues" during her career.  A Grammy Award winner, her rough-and-ready style was ideal for festivals, clubs and concert halls alike.  She recorded a number of albums for the Chess label and later Alligator Records.  Koko Taylor was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1997.
