Sir Thomas Allen CBE, is an English operatic baritone born in County Durham in 1944. Debuting at Covent Garden in 1971 and the Metropolitan Opera in 1981, he has also freelanced extensively, sung at the Salzburg Festival, La Scala... performimg recitals throughout Europe, America & Australia.  He was one of the world's foremost baritones during the latter part of 20^th century.
