Some have called him "The Greatest Living Improviser" - others just call him "Newk" - but Sonny Rollins has been one of the most influential jazz musicians of his era.  His work with Miles Davis, his Prestige albums (Work Time, Tenor Madness, Saxophone Colossus...), his RCA albums (The Bridge, Our Man in Jazz, Sonny Meets Hawk...) qualify him for the Hall of Fame...and we'd only be at 1963!  A jazz giant beyond compare - winner of Grammy Awards including Lifetime Achievment, National Medal of the Arts, and more.  All hail Sonny Rollins!
