Classic Jazz is foundation jazz from the 1920s to the 50s - linking the traditional roots to bebop, cool, fusion and beyond. It includes the big swing bands of Chick Webb, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey; smaller combos of Louis Armstrong, Benny Carter, Jonah Jones & Jack Teagarden as well as soloists like Fats Waller and Art Tatum.
