Cannonball Adderley

Born in Tampa Florida, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley came to prominence as a member of Miles Davis' Sextet, eventually playing on the quintessential "Kind Of Blue" album in 1959.  One of the great alto saxophone virtuosi of his era, his forays into "electric jazz" led to extensive public exposure and wide musical influence.
