Michael Bublé

Michael Buble

Michael Bublé OC (b. September 9, 1975) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Raised in Burnaby, British Columbia, he seems to have revived public interest in pop vocals and the American Songbook, as evidenced by his 70+ million record sales. He started out singing in talent contests, clubs, conventions and shopping malls in the 1990s. His fledgling career received a considerable boost from a series of appearances on the Vicki Gabereau network talk show and he recorded three independent albums (First Dance, Babalu and Dreams) which led to Genie Award nominations. Singing at Caroline Mulroney’s wedding, he met multiple Grammy-winning producer David Foster, who eventually agreed to produce Buble's self-titled album. The album went top-ten in Canada, the UK and South Africa, while reaching No. 1 in Australia. His second album, It’s Time, reached No. 1 in Canada, Italy, Japan, and on the Billboard Top Jazz chart. The single Home reached No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Tracks chart and No. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100. He sang at the Vancouver Olympics Winter Games in 2010 and appeared regularly in movies and on TV, most notably Oprah. At this writing, he has won 5 Grammy Awards and 15 Junos.
