As part of the two-piano duo Ferrante & Teicher, Louis Teicher (the one on the right) was one of North America's best-known pianists.  The duo's albums sold well for decades and their arrangements of pop standards and movie themes (like Exodus and The Apartment) were regular fixtures on the Billboard charts.  Both men were on the faculty at Juilliard where they had studied in the 1930s.
