Where does one begin to discuss Buddy Rich?  The New York native was one of the finest kit drummers to ever perform.  His bands and orchestras toured relentlessly - he headlined in concert halls, festivals, TV specials (and talk shows), a gruelling schedule that rendered him prone to heart attacks.  Although he never learned to read music, his musicianship was of the highest order and his (co-authored) drum method is still admired by drummers everywhere.  A performer from the age of four, Buddy Rich was a major force in music and a consummate artist - "Big Swing Face".
